About Me

Zoè van Zyl is an energetic and determined 18-year-old high school student, heavily invested in the world of mathematics, physical science, and design. A sports enthusiast at heart, she enjoys outdoor ventures such as hiking, free diving and swimming which feed her love for adventure. 

 

Her recent project, dubbed 'Biological Hallucinations', reflects her enthralling exploration into the fusion of biology, nature and artificial intelligence. Furthermore, her research interest, 'Dynamic Biological Interpolations', delves into the captivating confluence of naturally occurring elements like cells with human-generated inventions like AI. 

 

Her growing interest in technology didn't form in a vacuum. As a global citizen and an avid traveler, she has experienced various cultures and environments. Her parents and she have journeyed extensively, providing her the priceless opportunity to engage in international school exchanges and reside in diverse regions of the world, including Silicon Valley. Living in the tech-forward environment of Silicon Valley was a transformative experience that drew her attention towards technology and its myriad of possibilities.

 

Subsequently, her enthusiastic inquiries have led her to inspect unique representations of artificial intelligence and mathematics in the artistic world. Numerous adventures and various influences inspire her lifelong commitment to learning and ascertaining new understandings. She constantly looks forward to conquering new challenges that fuel her growth.
